About ASWAp SP II
Agriculture Sector Wide Approach-Support Project II (ASWAp-SP II) is a project currently being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development in Malawi.
The project started in November 2017 and is expected to run up to December 2019. The ASWAp-SP II is a follow up to ASWAp-SP I which existed between 2008 and 2016 with financial support from six donors in a Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) under the administration of The World Bank.
In order to consolidate and sustain the gains made by the ASWAp-SP I but also finalize implementation of the necessary reforms, five donors namely the EU, Irish Aid, Flanders, USAID and Norway expressed interest to continue with the follow up operation hence formulation of ASWAp-SP II.

Project Components
ASWAp-SP II has four main components which are aligned to the National Agriculture Investment Plan (NAIP)
