We could not have achieved anything had we uprooted bananas only from the fields whose owners were willing, because in a few months, the disease from the spared infected plants would.
have spread again, so we decided to
make the uprooting mandatory for all

BeneficiaryAs a family, we have seen the fruits of ASWAp-SP II. So far within two years we have constructed a brick house thatched with iron sheets. We bought two solar panels, radio, one cow, 4 pigs, a bicycle and dining set of six chairs and a table.

BeneficiaryLast year, I produced quality cassava and sweet potatoes yield from the vines and cuttings we received from ASWAp. I sold the harvest at K350, 000 and I used it to build a burnt brick house with a shop attached to it. This year I am planning to increase the hectarage of cassava from 1 acre to 8 acres and sweet potato hectarage from 1 acre to
4 acres. I liked these crops because we don’t apply fertilizers.
